Sobey Wing

Sobey Wing (he/they/sila) is a Visayan-Cantonese settler on Unceded Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-waututh Nations. A part of the Youth Passageways network since it came into being in November 2013 and a member of the Cross-Cultural Protocol Working Group. They are an accountability partner for Rites and Responsibilities and Re-Calling Our Ancestors. Sobey is a current member of the board of directors of Kathara Pilipino Indigenous Arts Society Collective and the board of The National Pilipino Canadian Cultural Center (NPC3). They also are a facilitator with the Center for Babaylan Studies online book club, Pagsuyo, Courting the Indigenous for Filipino/a/x diaspora. He is also a board member with Ancestral Foodways and has been involved in leadership roles in dance and music culture.
