Purpose Statement
Circle of Stones is a collaborative effort to preserve and share the stories, medicine knowledge, and cultural teachings of the Passamaquoddy people. Rooted in the life and vision of Fredda Paul, this project uplifts Indigenous wisdom through three interconnected works: The Medicine Project — documenting traditional Passamaquoddy healing practices. Eagles Soaring Over Us — a collection of Fredda Paul’s life stories and teachings. Circle of Stones — community stories celebrating Passamaquoddy culture, language, and resilience. Together, these projects honor ancestral knowledge, foster healing, and return these stories to the people and places they belong.
Circle of Stones exists to honor, preserve, and share the stories, medicine knowledge, and cultural teachings of the Passamaquoddy people, guided by the life and wisdom of healer and storyteller Fredda Paul. Rooted in respect, relationship, and reciprocity, we are dedicated to intergenerational healing, revitalizing Indigenous knowledge, and fostering cultural continuity through storytelling, education, and community collaboration.
