About:

Purpose Statement
Mark Winston-Griffith is driven by a deep commitment to justice, storytelling, and community empowerment. As a third-generation resident of Crown Heights, he channels his lived experience and professional expertise into uplifting the voices of historically marginalized communities. Through journalism, organizing, and education, he seeks to confront systemic inequities, particularly within public education, and to inspire informed civic engagement rooted in Black-led grassroots leadership.

To use narrative, media, and community organizing as tools to expose injustice, amplify underrepresented voices, and catalyze transformative change in Central Brooklyn and beyond. By fostering public dialogue through platforms like School Colors and Brooklyn Deep, and by mentoring the next generation of storytellers and activists, Mark Winston-Griffith works to create a more equitable and self-determined future for Black communities.
